What We Fix

Running Toilets

Failed inlet and outlet valves, worn flush seals and misadjusted floats replaced so the cistern stops refilling all night.

Leaking Toilets

Leaks at the pan, the cistern connection or the waste seal traced and repaired before they damage the floor beneath.

Blocked Toilets

Blockages cleared with jetting and, where needed, CCTV to check the waste line is not the underlying problem.

New Toilet Installation

New suites supplied and installed, including back-to-wall and in-wall cistern units, correctly sealed and certified.

Fixed Properly,
Left Clean.

Most toilet faults come down to a handful of parts inside the cistern, and a proper repair costs far less than the water a running toilet quietly wastes. We carry common valves and seals on the van, so most repairs are done in a single visit — and we leave the bathroom as we found it.

Toilet Repairs — Your Questions Answered

Why does my toilet keep running?

A constantly running toilet is nearly always a failed inlet valve, a worn flush or outlet valve seal, or a float set too high so water spills into the overflow. All are inexpensive parts. Left alone, a running toilet can waste more water than the rest of the household combined, so it is worth fixing promptly.

How much does it cost to fix a toilet in Christchurch?

Most toilet repairs are a single-visit job. Inline charges $100 + GST per hour during business hours plus parts, with a one-hour minimum of $161 including GST that covers travel and the first hour. We carry common inlet and outlet valves and seals on the van, so the majority of running or leaking toilets are fixed in one visit without a return trip.

Why is water leaking from the bottom of my toilet?

Water at the base usually means a failed waste or pan connector seal, a cracked pan, or condensation on the cistern in a cold, humid bathroom. It is worth diagnosing quickly — a leaking waste seal lets water get under the floor covering where you cannot see the damage accumulating.

Can you install a new toilet as well as repair one?

Yes. We supply and install new toilet suites including back-to-wall and in-wall cistern units, remove and dispose of the old suite, and make sure the waste connection and seal are done properly and to standard.

My toilet is blocked — will a plunger fix it?

A plunger will often clear a simple paper blockage in the pan. If plunging does not work, or the toilet backs up along with other drains in the house, the blockage is further down the waste line and needs jetting. If it is your only toilet, call us and we will prioritise it.

“Had to call out in the middle of the night and the guy that came out was amazing. He was friendly, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to sort what was going on. Highly recommend and will be using again, if needed (hopefully not in the middle of the night again though!!).”
